**Bookvarel's Mathematics Program**is broken out into three levels:

**Preparatory (Grades PK - K)****Beginner (Grades 1 - 3)****Intermediate (Grades 4 - 7)**

Upon completion of the **Preparatory Level** children are expected to be able to:

- Count objects
- Write numbers on paper
- Recognize various geometric shapes
- Understand signs for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

**Beginner Level** students, grades 1 - 3, upon completion must be able to:

- Read, write and compare numbers up to 1 million.
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers of various complexity within 100
- Present complex numbers in a form of added simple numbers
- Freely use previously learned mathematical terminology
- Perform calculations with zero
- Solve text problems using arithmetic formulas
- Draw geometric shapes and be able to measure them
- Apply learned skills in the surrounding environment

**Intermediate Level** students build on the previously studied material and:

- Develop understanding of the role math plays in human life and its various applications
- Form practical skills in performing oral, written and graphical calculations
- Learn algebraic language and apply it in various algebraic calculations
- Study functions and their application in solving mathematical and non-mathematical problems
- Learn mathematical functions and their algebraic and graphical representations
- Use functions to analyze real dependencies
- Learn various statistical laws, their analysis and probabilistic conclusions as well as their application in our daily lives
- Develop analytical thinking and ability to communicate it orally and in writing
